STEAMtroop

We are so excited to be working with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri! We’ve started a pilot program called STEAMtroop. The focus is teaching science processing skills using activities from the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

The ladies involved in this troop will be working on two Girl Scout Journeys in our pilot year: Think Like a Citizen Scientist, and Think Like an Engineer. We’re using the Girl Scout curriculum and supplementing with activities from the Faraday Foundation. STEAMtroop is a natural progression of Science is a Blast.

Forest Park looks forward to developing more skills in children to investigate this wild, wacky world that God has provided for us.
